Dear Community members,

We hope this email finds you well and in good health.

The ICANN77 Policy Forum will be held in from 12-15 June 2023 at Marriott
Marquis , Washington, D.C. United States,
This meeting will take place as a hybrid event

As usual, we plan to hold the Joint AFRALO-AfrICANN meeting and as we are
so close to the date of meeting, we would like to invite you to urgently
submit topics for this session.

For your information our previous statements have focused on issues
like: Universal
Acceptance as a means of accessing the Internet in local languages, Best
Practices for DNS Operations in Africa, Domain Name System (DNS) Abuse,
Universal Acceptance, evolving the ICANN Multistakeholder model, General
Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), New gTLD Subsequent Procedures,
enhancing ICANN accountability, etc. Please see our previous statements here

These wide ranges of topics mentioned above are given as examples. Of
course, you may suggest other topics.

As is the norm, the topic that receives the most support will be selected.

 Please see our proposed timeline:

· 28 April -10 May 2023: Call for topics and drafting team

· 12 May 2023: Announcement of Selected topic & drafting team composition

· 13 – 19 May 2023: First Draft of Statement

·   20 - 26 May 2023: Second Draft of Statement

· 27 May 2023: Statement translation and sending to Staff

Kindly send your suggested topics and volunteer for drafting by Wednesday
10 May 2023, after which the drafting team will be constituted to prepare a
draft statement that will be shared with the rest of the members.

If you would like to join the drafting team, kindly notify us via the
mailing list or to me directly off list.

Pour votre information, les déclarations précédentes se sont concentrées
sur des sujets tels que: L’acceptation universelle en tant que moyen
d’accès à Internet dans des langues locales,l'abus du Système de Noms de
Domaine (DNS), l'Acceptation Universelle (AU), l'évolution du modèle
multipartite de l'ICANN, le RGPD, les procédures ultérieures des nouveaux
gTLD, les meilleures pratiques pour le fonctionnement des DNS en Afrique,le
Processus Accéléré de développement de politiques (EPDP), l’amélioration de
la responsabilité de l'ICANN,

Ce large éventail de thèmes mentionnés ci-dessus est donné à titre
d'exemple.

Vous pouvez bien entendu suggérer d'autres sujets.

Comme c'est la norme, le sujet qui recevra le plus de soutien sera
sélectionné.

l’équipe de rédaction ;

· 12 Mai 2023 : annonce du sujet sélectionné et constitution de l'équipe de
rédaction ;

· 13 - 19 Mai 2023 : Premier projet (brouillon) de déclaration ;

· 20- 26 Mai 2023 : deuxième ébauche de déclaration ;

· 27 Mai 2023 : Traduction de la déclaration et envoi au personnel de
l’ICANN ;

Veuillez envoyer vos suggestions de sujets et vous porter volontaire pour
la rédaction d'ici le Mercredi 10 Mai 2023, après quoi l'équipe de
rédaction sera constituée pour préparer un projet de déclaration qui sera
partagé avec le reste des membres.

Si vous souhaitez rejoindre l'équipe de rédaction, veuillez nous en
informer hors liste.
