Chers tous,

Comme vous le savez, j'ai été proposé pour l'un des postes de
vice-président du GAC par l'intermédiaire du Dr Cherif Diallo. Compte tenu
du nombre de candidats, les élections sont organisées par le secrétariat du
GAC (7 candidats pour cinq sièges).

Je suis le seul candidat du continent africain et il semble important de
mobiliser les Africains autour de ma candidature.

Il est important que la voix de l'Afrique soit entendue au sein du GAC.

Ainsi, mon programme est structuré autour de trois axes principaux:

   - Stimuler la participation africaine au sein du GAC et plus
   particulièrement du groupe de travail du GAC pour les régions mal
   desservies ;
   - Aider les gouvernements africains à participer plus activement aux
   discussions sur le nouveau programme gTLD en cours de préparation;
   - Faire entendre la voix de l'Afrique dans le cadre de la préparation de
   la réunion de haut niveau des gouvernements prévue pour l'année prochaine.

Dear all,

As you know, I nominated one of the GAC Vice Chair positions through Dr
Cherif Diallo. Given the number of candidates, elections are organized by
the GAC Secretariat (7 candidates for five seats).

I am the only candidate from the African continent and it seems important
to mobilize the African around my candidacy.

It's important that the voice of Africa be heard in the GAC. .

Thus, my program is structured around three main axes :

   -     Boosting African participation in the GAC and especially in the
   GAC Working Group for underserved regions
   -     Assist African governments to have more active participation in
   discussions on the new gTLD program currently under preparation
   -     Bring the voice of Africa as part of the preparation of the
   high-level government meeting scheduled for next year.
