Are you aware that you can drive from Cape Town, South Africa to Cairo,
Egypt through the Great North Road in sub-Saharan Africa? You can read more
History on this road from Wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cape_to_Cairo_Road

Are you aware that there is One Domain Name for the African Continent? This
is "dotAfrica" - ".africa"

On Monday, 03 July 2017 during the Assembly of the Heads of State and
Governments of the AU, the .africa Roadshow was launched at the AU
Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

What does this mean? the .africa Roadshow is continent-wide .africa
awareness campaign aiming to Domain unDomain.

Do you have your own domain? you can have anything you like linked with
dotAfrica domain. For details about .africa, Read:

The Mt. Kilimanjaro Summit is organized and hosted by Registry Africa
(.africa). The .africa summit team will embark on a two week long trek up
Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania in January 2018. Summiting the highest peak on
the continent signifies the great heights that Africans have climbed to get
to the delegation and the launch of one domain name for the entire African
continent. Mt. Kilimanjaro with its three volcanic cones (i.e Kibo,
Mawenzi, and Shira) is the highest mountain in Africa, about 4,900 metres
(16,100 ft) from its base to 5,895 metres (19,341 ft) above sea level.

Domain the unDomained - The cause that the .africa summit team supports is
Domaining the unDomained which is to improve the ICT Industry in Africa.

The Objectives of Mt. Kilimanjaro Summit are:

   1. To create awareness about the .africa domain name. “One domain name
   for the entire African continent”
   2. To develop Africa based internet service providers and to enable them
   to provision .africa domain names
   3. To increase the number of .africa domain name registrations by
   Africans
   4. To encourage Africans to take pride and ownership of the domain name

We are expecting to welcome the .africa summit team at Dodoma Region on
12th January, 2018. We are also organizing a .africa awareness session in
Dodoma. This is a free cocktail like event to be hosted in one of the venue
in Dodoma.

We are also looking the possibility of coordinating an eye visit session to
visit the University of Dodoma. The largest University in East and Central
Africa with a target of accommodating about 40,000 on-campus students in
its single campus located in Chimwaga Hills.

The journey will be complete at Gedeb – Addis Ababa Ethiopia on 30-Jan-2018
as per Mt Kilimanjaro Summit Itinerary.
