AfriaCERT is pleased to invite the Internet Community to AfricaCERT X Training to be held in Gaborone, Botswana from May 28 to June 4 2016.

The program will comprise of four days of training, one day of cyber-drill and then the AfricaCERT Day. 



The following Tracks will be run during the Training Workshop:

** Monday 5/30
* Track 1. FIRST  Training. 
CSIRT Fundamentals (Morning Session)
Starting a CSIRT (afternoon Session)
* Track 2. TRANSITS II
Forensics (Morning and Afternoon)

** Tuesday 5/31
* Track 1. FIRST  Training. 
CSIRT Operations (Morning Session)
Working with Information Sources (afternoon session)
* Track2. TRANSITS II
Netflow and Communication

** Wednesday 6/1.
* Track 1. CERT/CC Training.
Writing Policies for the CSIRT (Morning and Afternoon).
* Track 2. JPCERT Training.
Building malware handling and analysis environment (Morning)
Processing and storing malware (Morning)
Malware analysis fundamentals (Afternoon)
Introduction to advanced malware analysis (Afternoon)

** Thursday 6/2.
* Track1. FIRST  Training
Incident Coordination (morning session)
CSIRT Performance Measurement (afternoon session)
* Track 2. JPCERT Training
Capture/analyze network traffic
Live Analysis of Malicious traffic

Friday. CERT.FR DRILL.
Cyber Security Incident Handling DRILLS 

Saturday. AfricaCERT Cyber security Day.

The objective of Track 1 is to create an operational CSIRT with incident handling capabilities. 
The course is designed by the FIRST Education community and delivered by FIRST Accredited instructors. 
The objective of track 2 is to equip its participants with the skills to carry out network forensic and malware analysis

Track 1 and 2 merge on the fifth day for Cyber Security Incident Handling DRILLS


** Participation Fees.

AfNOG, AfricaCERT and FIRST are sponsoring the event. Participants are asked to pay $600 per person to cover meals, and coffee breaks.

** Accommodation.

Participants are expected to make their own hotel and transportation arrangement.
