[AfrICANN-discuss] NRO SEAT 9 ICANN Board

Dear friends and colleagues,

I would like to inform you that I have been honored by a nomination to the
election for the Seat 9 in ICANN Board.
I am one of 5 other great nominees but I am the only one representing our
mother land Africa.
Africa has been in the past represented in the ICANN Board by African
pioneers like Nii Quaynor, Katim Touray, Mohamed Diop and Njeri Rionge (
sorry if I missed someone).
Africa has been also always a vibrant community in ICANN sphere, a
community that I had the privilege to be part of since many years. I still
have great memories of the Afralo creation during the ICANN meeting in
Lisbon Portugal in 2007.
I am here asking for our community support to join the ICANN board and
serve the ICANN with this great experience and loving moments I lived in
the African AfriNIC/ICANN community.
There is a phase for comment that is open until March 31st. I would
