Les bases de la Gestion des Resources Internet | 1 Jour


Objectifs du Cours :

A l'issue de l'atelier, les participants sauront :

- Décrire les problèmes autour de l’épuisement des adresses IPv4 et aux 
risques que cela représente par rapport au développement de l'Internet.

- Présenter des arguments afin d'expliquer l’inefficacité du NAT qui 
n'est pas une solution durable au problème de l’épuisement d'IPv4.

- Planifier leur besoins d'adresses IPv4 et faire une demande pour ces 
ressources à AFRINIC.

- Décrire le processus d'élaboration des politiques, l'importance de ces 
politiques et comment y participer.

- Décrire la structure de la base de données Whois.

- Identifier des objets clés de la base de données Whois et leurs 
attributs.

- Créer et manipuler des objets  de la base de données Whois.

- Modifier la base de données Whois selon les allocations de leurs clients.

- Tester leurs nouvelles allocations d’adresses.


Comprendre et utiliser IPv6 | 3 jours

Objectifs du Cours:

A l'issue de l'atelier, les participants sauront :

- Concevoir un schéma pour les adresses IPv6 dans leurs organisations.

- Configurer IPv6 sur Windows/Mac et Linux.

- Configurer le routage IPv6 -  statique , OSPFv3 et MP-BGP.

- Configurer les tunnels pour permettre aux sites IPv6 de communiquer 
avec les autres sites v6 à travers un réseau configuré uniquement en IPv4.

- Faire du brainstorming pour trouver des solutions aux problèmes liés 
à  IPv6 dans leurs organisations.


Audience Cible:

Ingénieurs et administrateurs réseaux qui comprennent comment créer et 
bâtir des réseaux IPv4. Les participants doivent comprendre les sujets 
tels que :

- Le modèle OSI et les protocoles qui opèrent à chaque niveau.

- Les adressages IPv4 et  ‘subnetting’

- Le routage intra-domaine et OSPF.

- Les services de base de réseaux comme le DHCP et DNS .

- Comment utiliser les interfaces de commande en ligne sur des 
plate-formes de routage clés (i.e. Cisco IOS).


Frais et Charges:

La participation à cet atelier est gratuite et en priorité réservée à 
nos membres mais aussi aux opérateurs réseaux ainsi qu'à quiconque 
intéresser à comprendre comment créer et gérer des réseaux IPv6.

Des rafraîchissements et le déjeuner seront servis. Veuillez noter 
qu'AFRINIC ne prend pas en charge les coûts de transport et 
d'hébergement des participants.

Veuillez prendre note qu'il y aura seulement 35 places disponibles et 
ces places seront allouées suivant un processus de sélection des candidats.

Internet Number Resources Management Fundamentals - 1 Day

Course Deliverables:

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

- Describe the issues surrounding IPv4 depletion and the risks they pose 
for the continued evolution of the Internet.

- Make a good case for why NAT is bad and not a sustainable solution to 
the problem of IPv4 depletion.

- Plan their IP addressing needs and apply for resources from AFRINIC.

- Describe the policy development process, its importance and how to 
take part in it.

- Describe the structure of the Whois database and its importance.

- Identify the key objects of the Whois database and their attributes.

- Create and manipulate objects in the Whois database.

- Effect Whois database changes for allocations to customers.

- Test their new IP address allocations

Understanding and Deploying IPv6: 3 Days

Course Deliverables:

At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

- Design an IPv6 address scheme for their organisations.

- Configure IPv6 on Windows/Mac and Linux desktop operating systems.

- Build a routed IPv6 network using both static routing and OSPFv3.

- Configure tunnelling techniques to allow v6-capable sites talk to 
other v6 sites across a v4-only network.

- Brainstorm solutions to issues holding back IPv6 in their organisations.

Target Audience:

Network engineers and systems administrators who understand how to 
design and build IPv4 networks.

Pre-requisites

Participants must already understand topics like:

- The OSI model and the various protocols that operate at each layer.

- IPv4 addressing and subnetting.

- Intra-domain routing and OSPF.

- Fundamentals of Inter-domain routing with BGP

- Basic network services like DHCP and DNS.

- How to use the command line interfaces of key routing platforms (e.g 
Cisco IOS)


Fees and Charges:

Participation in this training workshop is FREE of charge for selected 
participants. Priority will always be given to participants who are 
AFRINIC members.

Tea and lunch will be served during the days of the workshop. Note that 
AFRINIC will not bear any transportation and/or accommodation costs for 
the participants.


Seats and  Registration:

Please note that there are only 35 seats available and seats will be 
allocated following a selection process. Registration will close 
automatically either when all 35 seats are booked or one week before the 
start of the training.

Selected candidates will be contacted directly and must confirm their 
attendance within 48 hours or else forfeit their seats.
