ICANN 50 in London: June 23 in brief

The official opening ceremony for the 50th ICANN meeting in London took
place today June 23, 2014.   There are 3343 registered participants for this
ICANN meeting.  
During the opening ceremony the CEO presented the first two tracks of NTIA
transition and the ICANN accountability.

African High Level  delegates including seven ministers took part in a high
Level Government meeting to discuss about the NTIA's Stewardship of the IANA
Functions. 
There were many sessions on various topics like DNSSEC for beginners, new
gTLD, Law Enforcement, the future of WHOIS,  Thick whois Consensus policy,
etc.. There is a special daily program for the ICANN fellows

50ème reunion de l¹ICANN à Londres:  Le 23 juin  en bref
 
 
La cérémonie d¹ouverture de la 50ème réunion de l¹ICANN a eu lieu ce 23 juin
2014 à Londres. 3343 participants se sont inscrits pour cette réunion de
l¹ICANN.
 
Dans son intervention lors de l¹ouverture, le CEO de l¹ICANN a présenté deux
des quatre pistes de la transition de la supervision du NTIA

Une réunion ministérielle de haut niveau  sur la transition de la
supervision de NTIA a vu la participation de 7 ministres africains.
 
Plusieurs sujets ont meublés les sessions parallèles  et on peut entre autre
citer  celles sur le DNNSEC pour les débutants, l¹application des lois, le
future du WHOIS,  etcŠ Il est prévu un programme spécial pour les boursiers
à la réunion de l'ICANN

Plusieurs sessions du 24 juin seront surtout liées aux comités consultatifs
et aux organisations de soutien.
