Dear colleagues,

The first IANA Stewardship Transition Coordination Group (ICG) meeting that was held in London last week, ended with a declaration published at: https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/files/draft-icg-statement-18jul14-en.pdf

As initial observation, the spirit of the group was great and people came in the meeting with a very open mind and a desire to successfully coordinate the process. This was a good sign for such a diverse group. The group has agreed to accept the GAC’s request to have five representatives in the ICG instead of two as originally defined. The five appointed are:

· Manal Ismail (Egypt)
· Heather Dryden (Canada)
· Kavouss Arasteh (Iran)
· Michael Niebel (European Commission)
· Jandyr Ferreira dos Santos (Brazil)

The letter sent by the ICG in response to the GAC is available at: https://www.icann.org/en/system/files/correspondence/icg-to-dryden-18jul14-en.pdf

The archives of the transcript of the meeting and other related materials are now published at:
