Plug and Play Day - Getting hands-on with innovation

As a precursor to the ICT4Ag conference, Plug and Play Day offers
participants a valuable and very practical insight into the latest
technological developments in the field of ICT for agriculture.

This is a true hands-on experience with demonstrations and in-depth
sessions by prestigious application providers and experienced
practitioners. Test drive the latest m-apps, Web2.0 and social media
tools and discover how you can make them work for you. Topics covered
in these Plug and Play Day sessions will closely parallel the broader
conference  streams and will be tailored to the needs of our
stakeholder groups such as farmers and farmer organisations,
agricultural researchers, policy and decision makers, intermediary
organisations, private sector organizations, and civil society and
advocacy groups.

Proposals are being solicited from the general public for
applications/tools/solutions developers and "techies", who may be
interested in demonstrating or teaching others how to use these
technologies for agricultural development. (Note: this could also be
a platform for apps/tools/solutions developers to showcase the value
of their innovations to potential users/clients).

The deadline for receipt of submissions is 9 June 2013. Successful
entrants will be notified by latest 1 July 2013.
