[AfrICANN-discuss] February Updates on Addis event

Dear Listers,

Here are the latest on the Addis event:

- Invitations have been sent to a hundred+ prospective participants,
including global leaders in the DNS industry and African business sector
reps.
- Workshop Agenda (on 5-6 March) is being fine tuned with
roles/responsibilities
- Event will be opening on 6th March in the evening, at Radisson Blu at 19h
(The Sheraton was not available)
- Event agenda is being fine tuned with partners AIGF, AFTLD, AFregistrars,
ISOC Africa, ATU and AFRALO
- Sponsored participants, (between 30 -40 for both workshop and event) have
been receiving the message from ICANN travel Agency
- Other participants could continue sending me their details, though the
webstite (www.africanncommunity.org) should be up and live by tomorrow
- VISAS : participants who need an entry visa should urgently forward a
scanned copy of passport to MiriamA at Africa-union.org

The Africa DNSSEC roadshow, one of the project for FY13 has started and an
interim report should be available in Addis. Alain Aina is the focal person
you might wish to talk to.
