Hello,

Anyone observe the strange behaviour of IP detection module running on the
Afrinic site? It seem to be giving wrong IP addresses.

I was surprised when it showed i was using a v6 address, then i thought how
the heck did my system get that (without me running any v4 to v6mechanism)
Then i refreshed and now it shows a v4 address which is totally not my
public address, another refresh gives a different address......

I hope this experience is similar at your end.

Perhaps it may be worth looking into @Afrinic webmaster.

Cheers!

Bonjour,
Dans mon cas, j'ai pas le même problème. l'IP de ma gateway est
parfaitement détectée.
Précision utile, je suis derrière un NAT. Je ne sais pas si çà
modifierais le résultat.

Seun,

Good eyes... yes we noticed the erratic behaviour of the IP detection
module and are in the process of rectifying that. I just responded to you
on skype.

Glad you saw it and keep helping by reporting anything 'unusual'.

Et merci Thomas. Nous travaillons sur le probleme que Seun a de son cote.

Cheers,
ar
