In addition it could also be that there is already another application
running on the apache default (port 80) such as Nginx and having less
server resource, they were forced to use another port. These are all
assumption as those that set it up will be able to best explain why they
went 8080 route.
I must note that Adamou has commented in a way that deserve a response,
hence the reason why i am adding my voice to this.
