[AfrICANN-discuss] Help with .africa history

Compare the following string applications:

.africa : http://gtldresult.icann.org/application-result/applicationstatus/applicationdetails/1184 

to

.dotafrica : http://gtldresult.icann.org/application-result/applicationstatus/applicationdetails/1276


Notes: 
The above applied for strings are not identical. In simple terms, according to ICANN, DCA Trust has not applied for .Africa. This is a simple fact and can be verified against ICANN's application database.

Now, if you accept the fact that UniForum and DCA Trust have applied for two different strings, the next step would be to determine whether those "different" strings are confusingly similar to each other. My view, having been a trade mark attorney, is that they are indeed confusingly similar.
