[AfrICANN-discuss] Re: New Year Greetings

Fortunately Mailman is open source and free solution.

It is possible to upgrade it or to create a new fork of Mailman in which we will integrate translation API and more authentication policies. That is possible and that is what I proposed before... Since the current version of Mailman did not provide us with those features.

I read here a proposal for establishment of a detector (member-detector) or something like that. Maybe it was just a joke, but technology can make it possible.

With fellow engineers here in Cameroon, we started working on it (upgrading of the authentication policies and technics of Mailman).

Perhaps with the support of AfriNIC and other organizations such as FOSSFA, we could better organize a developers community for the implementation of a new fork of Mailman.

In any case, analysis of the results of the poll on "Is it relevant to know who is who on the AfrICANN list?" will tell us more about the future direction to be taken.

Salam.
