The African Computer Emergency Response Team Coordination Center;
AfricaCERT invites you to submit a presentation/paper for AfricaCERT III
Day to be held in Khartoum (Sudan) on 26 November 2012.

AfricaCERT meetings provide a forum for collaboration and exchange for
Computer Emergency response Teams and interested parties to sharing
common practices, information, tools, techniques, and strategies that
address problems related to cyber-security.

AfricaCERT Day builds on the experience of previous AfricaCERT events
held in different African countries in collaboration with AfNOG and AfriNIC.
AfricaCERT III Day follows two days of extensive training in
collaboration with JPCERT and AAF:

24 November 2012 - CSIRT training for managers and policy makers:
creating and managing a CSIRT;

25 November 2012 - CSIRT training for technical staff: advanced network

AfricaCERT III’s theme is “Enhanced Collaboration”. Speakers, are
invited to present papers around the theme and related to:

- The draft African convention on cyber security
- Proposals on areas and ways of collaboration
- The situation in their country
- Incident response
- Technical challenges
- Tools and solutions

Presentation Guidelines

Each speaker will have 30 minute session including Q&A

The Deadline for submission is September 30. Speakers will be informed
in October 15.

AfNOG (See http://www.afnog.org/) is a forum for cooperation and the
exchange of technical information between operators of
Internet-connected networks in Africa.

About AfriNIC
AfriNIC (See http://www.afrinic.net/) is the Regional Internet Registry
(RIR), responsible for Internet Number resources Management in the
Africa region. AfriNIC organizes two Public Policy meetings every year
(see http://www.afrinic.net/meeting/).

About AAF
AAF (see http://www.africaasia.net/) is the Africa-Asia Forum on Network
Research and Engineering.

JPCERT/CC (see http://www.jpcert.or.jp/) is the first CSIRT (Computer
Security Incident Response Team) established in Japan. The organization
coordinates with network service providers, security vendors, government
agencies, as well as the industry associations.
