Dear Colleagues,
The call for papers and conference registration is now open for AfricaCERT
Workshop during AfriNIC 15 event in Cameroon, November 22, 2011.
Speakers from numerous disciplines are invited to join AfricaCERT to discuss
present and future information security issues through an intensive series
of presentations.
We invite proposals for paper presentations and demonstrations on any topic
relevant to CERTs, information security and hacking including but not
limited to:
- International Cybersecurity situation
- Certs updates
- Countries updates
- Talks or discussion around security awareness in Africa
- Cyber Warfare
- Information Assurance
- Security Data Collection and Analysis
- Internet-based Terrorism and Espionage
- Reverse Engineering of Viruses and Worms
- Security Policy Implementation& Compliance
- Botnet Detection and Prevention
- Information Security Risk Management
- Economics of Information Security
- Computer& Network Forensics
- Network Security and Intrusion Detection
- Computer Crime and Digital Forensics
- Security in the Cloud / Distributed Systems
- Curriculum Development in Information Security
- Privacy& Security
- Critical Infrastructure Security
- Cyberlaw and enforcement
Your submission should include:
1. Name, title, address, email and phone number 2. Draft of the proposed
presentation (in PDF, PowerPoint or Keynote
format) etc.
3. Short biography, qualification, occupation, achievement and affiliations
(limit 150 words).
4. Summary or abstract for your presentation (limit 150 words) 5. Time
(15-60 minutes). Include time for discussion and questions.
6. Technical requirements (video, internet, wireless, audio, etc.)
Please send your proposal to project at africacert.org as soon as possible and
no later than 28 September 2011. Notification of Acceptance: 08 October
2011. Proposals will be evaluated in the order received.
We do not accept product, service or vendor related presentations.
