July 2011 - June 2014 Strategic Plan Posted
28 March 2011
Based upon the Board Resolutions<http://www.icann.org/en/minutes/resolutions-18mar11-en.htm> at the recent Silicon Valley/San Francisco ICANN Meeting, the adopted 2011-2014 Strategic Plan<http://www.icann.org/en/strategic-plan/strategic-plan-2011-2014-28mar11-en.pdf> [PDF, 3.37 MB] is now posted.
ICANN's Strategic Plan is a three-year rolling, annually updated strategic planning process.
During the Silicon Valley/San Francisco ICANN Meeting, we received many positive comments on this proposed plan, some of which are highlighted here:
* The continued use of the four focus areas in a one-page format
* Clarification in distinguishing the areas of Influence versus Control
* The addition of specific strategic metrics for each of the focus areas
This version of the Strategic Plan includes extensive community feedback, including a 60-day Public Comment period (27.11.10 - 25.01.11). Many thanks to the Community for its continued support and input.
As part of ICANN's planning process, the adopted Strategic Plan guides the development of the FY12 Operating Plan and Budget.
