Objet : [AfrICANN-discuss] Successful Conclusion of AfricaCERT event and AAF Cert training
 

AfricaCERT Coordination and AAF have just concluded four (4) days events on
CERT and Cybersecurity
at the AfriNIC-15 meeting in Yaoundé, Cameroon.


The event was attended by 44 policymakers, law enforcement agencies, network
engineers, systems
administrators and IT Managers from 10 African Counties.

Some of the highlights of the event are as follows:

*** Two days of Advanced CERT Course on Web Security: Network Forensics
Training (in English)
*** One CERT Training Course for Manager in French
*** AfricaCERT-I workshop.

At the end of the workshop, participants issued a strong statement urging
African governments and countries to take action to fight against
Cyber-crime and to support AfricaCERT.
