AFTLD Membership

The Africa Top Level Domain Organization - AFTLD - is inviting all
ccTLDs in Africa to join its membership by using the application form
presented here below. You can submit your ccTLD application simply by
replying to this e-mail and completing the application form.

AFTLD achievements over the last year or so include :
(A) Recognition by ICANN/ccNSO of AFTLD as the regional organization
representing Africa
(B) Holding the first African ccTLDs Workshop & members meeting, held
in Cairo from 28th-30 of May 2006, hosted by Egypt's Telecom
Regulatory Authority "NTRA"
(C) Successful intervention against re-partitioning of Africa region
in the ICANN ccNSO new ICANN regions proposals
(D) Signing of MoU with AfriNIC
(E) Approval by Department of Communications (DoC) of South Africa to
host the next AFTLD members meeting in South Africa from 7th to 11th
April 2008.

We strongly believe AfTLD is making and can make a difference and we
would like to invite your African ccTLD to be part of it. Complete

The Applicant hereby recognizes the role of AfTLD on the regional and

(i) Currently there are no fees payable for AfTLD membership.
However, AfTLD encourages annual contributions from its members
starting from 200 US Dollars. This rule is subject to review by the
membership of AFTLD
