Dear Dr. Yaseen,

It was a pleasure meeting you during the ICANN meetings and getting an
opportunity to learn from your experiences.

As to the issue you have mentioned, it is a good thing that morality and
values overcame the uprising demand of some for the .xxx domain. Needless to
say though, I think this isn't the last we have heard from them. Labeling
their request under the manicure of 'freedom of speech' opens the door wide,
and there is a lot of work left for us to draw the lines that distinct
between what is freedom, and what is obscenity. I believe that such a role
is up to us, the smaller nations, poorer in resources, yet richer in culture
and values.

Cyber space is a new world in which we all should be able to coexist in
harmony. If it was left for the powerful to enforce their ways then it shall
become law of the jungle.

We shall keep in touch.

Yours truly,

It is written on the wall that it is No.No.NO to .XXX.

Cross-Culture issues, Moral values and Aesthetics within the global
community should be respected under Globalization..

By the way, why did this issue of .xxx take so long to resolve? Is it
because some companies want to impose their belief that they have the
freedom to do anything they wish to? That freedom is sadly not universal at
the moment.

If ICM wants to trade in pornography, why not respect others by having a
number of Adult entertainment websites just like the way red light streets
are doing? Oh! that is a too small business....?

It seems that ICM is miss using the diplomacy that makes the ICANN community
uses in its decision-making process: I think that that the ICANN community
has been pushed to its fatigue limit but can not say so due to the protocol
put in place.

Need I say more?

My two cents

Yassin

By the Board no actions for the moment. From the community, this is where I
need us as the community to give views if any, in regards to the applicants
we expect some challenges ahead....you must note I cannot say too much
myself beyond what I and we have already said, but you as the community
can...
